This is the delicacy of Maharashtra. Being north Indian I tried it first time, its really yummy. I don’t know whether it’s like, what Maharashtra people make but I loved this dish of mine. So let’s look out for the recipe and prepare it. Kids gonna love this.
Ingredients:
For dough:
- one bowl of wheat flour
For filling:
- 100 gm chana dal (chickpeas split)
- 75 gm jaggery powder
- pinch of green cardamom powder
- one tbsp of coconut powder
Method:
Soak chana dal for 4-5 hrs. Make a dough if wheat flour like parathas. Then boil chana dal in a little water.

When it get cooked add jaggery powder and stir it until get like a dough.


Add cardamom powder. Now let it get cool. Mix coconut powder into filling and blend it into smooth dough.


Take a ball size wheat flour dough and keep small ball size dough of filling into it and roll it with the help of rolling pin.



Cook it like paratha in a desi ghee/oil. Now its ready to serve.
