Dhokla is a gujrati cuisine from India. Today Iam preparing Dhokla with suji and besan. It will be hassle free cooking and less time consuming. Let’s make this delicacy from Gujarat.
Ingredients:
half bowl suji/semolina
half bowl besan/gram flour
1/2 tsp fruit salt
For tadka:
salt, black mustard seeds,kari patta
1 tsp cooking oil, green chilli
Method:
Mix curd , besan and suji and leave it for 15 mins. Then mix it well . If consistency is too thick add little water. Mix salt also.

Now heat the steaming vessel. Here I used my idli stand for dhokla. Grease the stand or vessel . Now add fruit salt and mix well. Immediately pour into a vessel and steam for 10 mins at medium flame.

Check it with knife test. If done take it out and let it cool. Now prepare tadka in a pan. Heat oil add mustard seeds, slit green chilli and kari patta.


Then add Dhokla and roast it for few mins. If made in idli stand cut it into half or cut into pieces if made in dhokla vessel.
Enjoy your dhokla with any ketchup or gujrati kadhi.
