Today is Rathyatra and I made sweet mathri for my Thakurji as special offering. It’s simple as salted Mathri.
The dough will be same as shakar pare or namak pare. Only salt and carrom seeds will not be added.

Sugar syrup is to be made as malpua recipe but it will be thick for sweet mathri.

When dough and sugar syrup is ready we need some white sesame seeds. Make small balls from dough and roll with rolling pin and spread some white sesame seeds over mathri and deep fry them.

The flame will be low. It takes time get crispy. When it is golden brown dip into sugar syrup for five minutes.

Now its ready to serve but before that offer to your deity for a while. Now have it as prasad. Being prasad mathris will become more tasty.
